We model most of the railroads that have served Union Station and the Rocky Mountain West from the 1920s to present on the standard gauge and the 1880s to present on the narrow gauge. 25 members work on a 6000 sq ft railroad with 20 miles of scale standard gauge mainline, and 6 miles of scale narrow gauge mainline. The layout is 90 percent scenicked with a major expansion in progress on both standard and narrow gauge. Recorder at the club phone number and mail can be sent to the club. Meetings: Work nights are Tuesdays from 7 to 10 pm and special schedules and we operate the last Friday of the month from 7 to 9 pm for the public (no addmission but we accept donations). Kiowa Street Colorado Springs, CO 80903 After 8 years in a nearby location, Pikemasters has just moved into a 19 foot by 80 foot space in the basement of the City Auditorium. Planning and contruction of the new layout is expected to take most of 1996. Our 25+ members have varied interests; long mainline trains, switching and operations, narrow gauge, steam, diesel, rolling stock straight out the box or detailed and weathered scratchbuilt cars. Founded in 1994 with a mission statement of "to introduce and promote interest in model railroading and teach basic modeling techniques to youths."We have kids in HO, N, and 0/27 scale. We also have modular layouts in HO, and N scale. We have members from all over the Denver/Boulder area. YMR goes to at least 7 shows a year with thier modular group.
