The Mississippi Valley N Scalers model railroad club was founded in 1990. It is the oldest exclusive N scale club in the St. Louis Metro area. The club owns both fixed and modular (N-TRAK) layouts. Our members come from both sides of the Mississippi river. They share a common love of model railroading and a sincere interest in sharing their knowledge and expertise with fellow members. The club has over 30 N-TRAK modules -- some owned by individuals and some club owned -- and the number continues to grow! We put on The Greater St. Louis Metro Area Train Show each year, featuring over 200 swap tables and 10 layouts at our two day show. We will host the 7th Annual N Scale Collector Convention from June 23-27,1999. Augusta Station is located at 5509 Locust Street in downtown Augusta, Missouri. General public scheduled hours are Tuesday - Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.

Meetings: We generally work (and play) on the Augusta Station layout on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 10 AM to 5 PM, so please stop in and visit us.

The club has about 24 members. Our activities include both a regular schedule of hands on layout construction with experts working side by side with beginners, and train operations so you can learn about how model railroads run can simulate real railroads. We have four goals. First, we want to expand our members knowledge and skills. Second, we want to build and operate at least one large fully sceniced club size HO scale layout with a high degree of skill and reliability. Third, we want to increase public awareness of the current state of our hobby. Fourth, we want to enjoy ourselves while achieving the first three goals.

Tristate Model Railroaders is a group of model railroaders who promote the hobby of model railroading. We do this first by working with the Joplin Museum complex to promote their annual train shows in November and March. And secondly, we have constructed a portable train layout that we take to train shows and other area events. Our interest in model trains spans N scale to G scale. You will find that scale trains as well as toy and tinplate trains are enjoyed by members of our group. I use the term members here loosely. While we do have an official name, our meetings are very unofficial.

Meetings: We meet at several locations to work on members layouts and our own traveling layout.
