SHOWS AND CONVENTIONS

February 18-19 - The Lawrence Model Railroad Club returns to the Douglas County Fairgrounds for the 15th Annual Train Show and Swap Meet. The event features HO and N scale layouts, vendor tables, a model contest, silent auction, door prizes, and more!

February 18-19 - 10am to 4pm St Charles, MO Convention Center, 1 Convention Center Plaza Admission $11.00, Kids 11 and under free The Gateway Division will have a table at this event. Contact Don Ayres (ayresd1 *at* charter.net) if you'd like to help out at our table.

March 11 - Ozarks Model Railroad Show, 625 St. Louis St., Springfield, MO, 9:00-3:00. Adult $8.00, child under 12 free. Information: Greg Sullivan, sullibd *at* gmail.com.

March 18-19 - Boot Hill Model Railroad Show, Exhibition Bldg., Finney Co. Fairgrounds, Garden City KS

March 19 - Springfield Railroad Society Train Fair, 10am-4pm Orr Building @ State Fair Grounds Admission $5, children under 11 free. Early bird shopping starting at 9pm, admission $10

March 25 - The Joplin Museum Complex is hosting a Train Show and Swap Meet from 9am to 3pm at the Joplin Museum Complex. The Museum is located in Schifferdecker Park, 7th and Schifferdecker streets, Joplin, Missouri. Included will be operating model train layouts and over 55 tables of items for sale or trade. Admission is $3 adult, children 12 and under admitted free with paid adult. All proceeds at the door go to benefit the Joplin Museum Complex. Swap tables are $15 each. April 8-9 - 23rd Annual Train Show, North Platte, Nebraska, sponsored by the Nebraska West-Central Division. D&N Event Center, 501 East Walker Road, North Platte, Nebraska. Hours 9-5 Saturday the 8th and 10-4 Sunday the 9th. One day admission $4.00 per adult, $1.00 for children under 12 (under 5 free with paid adult). Vendor Tables $12.50 each till April 1st. July 1-2 - Stop in and say WOW! Spring Creek Model Trains, 304 E Bryson Ave, Deshler, NE (402-365-7628) one of the largest model train inventories in the country, is hosting their 2nd Train Show & Open House. Show location 4th & Race St. Hours 9-5 Sat, 10-4 Sun. Admission $6.00 ; 12 and under FREE. Special guest clinics: Pelle Soeberg, Denmark, Doug Geiger, CO, Chris Brimley, UT. July 10-15 - National Garden Railway Convention, Renaissance Hotel & Convention Center, Tulsa, OK.

July 29 - Turkey Creek Division Annual Train Show, Shawnee Mission North High School, 7401 Johnson Drive Overland Park, Kansas. Show Times 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, Layout Tours 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Attendees $6.00 at door, NMRA members $5.00 at door. Children 12 and under attend free. Clinics covering many aspects of the hobby start at 9:00. Model & Photo Contests - by NMRA judging and popular vote. Each model you entered into the contest will give you a chance in the special drawing to receive one $50.00 gift voucher, up to a maximum of 5 chances.
